HBCU Scholarship Overview

Justin Vaughn Agency and the JV Family Foundation are proud to offer financial assistance to minority students who are presently enrolled or have been admitted for enrollment at a historically Black college and universities (HBCUs) historically Black community colleges (HBCCs). Eligible students will receive up to $15,000, based on demonstrated financial needs.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the JV Family Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Enrollment Status

Be presently enrolled or have been admitted for enrollment at a historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs) historically Black Community Colleges (HBCCs) for the 2026 – 2027 academic year.

Field of Study

Open to students of all majors.

Academic Performance

Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (verified by an official transcript).

Financial Aid Documentation

Have a valid 2026 – 2027 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file with your institution at the time of selection.

Financial Need

Be able to demonstrate unmet financial need as determined by the university’s financial aid office.

Citizenship Status

Be a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card (or passport stamped I - 551 ).

Community Involvement

Demonstrate a commitment to community service through documented volunteer work, campus involvement, or civic engagement.

Leadership

Show evidence of leadership experience or potential, whether through school, community organizations, extracurricular activities, or employment.
